NVFD has been a part of the Anthem community over the past 10+ years and was purchased by Dr. Cameron Kastl in the Spring of 2020. Dr. Cameron Kastl is an Arizona native. Born and raised in Phoenix, he attended Arizona State University, where he received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology along with a minor in Business. Dr. Kastl played football for Arizona State, where he served as the team?s Long Snapper for two seasons. Dr. Kastl was named to the All Pac-12 Academic Team and was nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy, an award given to the nation?s best college football player whom began their career as a walk-on.
Dr. Kastl attended dental school and received his doctorate degree at the University of Washington (D.D.S.), a school consistently ranked amongst the best dental schools in the United States. After dental school, Dr. Kastl chose to advance his skill set in general dentistry and was accepted to an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
During his time as an AEGD resident, Dr. Kastl was mentored by oral surgeons, prosthodontists, periodontists, along with some of the valley?s best endodontists. He received hands-on experience in complex dental procedures including the placement and restoration of dental implants, molar endodontics, esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation cases, and socket preservation techniques. With the knowledge acquired during residency, Dr. Kastl takes pride in his ability to present and predictably treat patients? needs and desires all while maintaining proper function.
Dr. Kastl is well versed in a wide variety of comprehensive dental procedures and uses the latest in dental technology to cater to the individual needs of each and every patient he has the opportunity to work with. A standard of excellence in dental care fit specifically for each patient enables him to provide you with the quality of care you deserve! His goal is to offer superior dental care in a relaxed, timely manner and to treat each and every patient as if they were part of his own family. Dr. Kastl is a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, and Arizona Academy of General Dentistry. He spends time volunteering monthly at the Neighborhood Christian Clinic and BrighterWay Dental Institute where he provides homeless veterans with dental care. He has also volunteered the past three years with the Arizona Mission of Mercy and has had the opportunity to provide dental care to those less fortunate through mission trips in Jamaica and St. Lucia through a non-profit organization known as Great Shape Inc.
In his free time, Dr. Kastl enjoys spending time outdoors. He loves to hike, fish, play sports, work out, read, and simply enjoy the sunshine. He is a fan of the Arizona Cardinals, Sun Devils, and Phoenix Suns. He and his soon to be wife, Harper, reside in Scottsdale.
