Event Description

A 4-week introductory floral design that goes over basic design principles. We will learn about different materials and tools for floral design while creating a variety of different designs for vase and floral arrangements, as well as handheld bouquets.

Classes will be at 6 p.m. Here are the class dates, topics, and projects:

April 20 – Design Basics & Flower Care

A look at balance, color, texture and tools for basic floral design. You’ll receive materials and design tools which will be used throughout all of the classes.

Project: Create a handheld bouquet to take home with you.

April 27 – Vase Arrangements

Selecting florals, greens, and vessels to create beautiful vase arrangements.

Project: Create two different vase arrangements to take home with you.

May 4 – Foam Arrangements

Foam arrangements made simple to help create unique designs and centerpieces.

Project: Create two different foam arrangements to take home with you.

May 11 – Specialty Flowers

Using specialty flowers to make one-of-a-kind arrangements throughout the year.

Project: Tropical Flowers
